What a notary costs in Fort Myers
Florida caps the notarial act at $10 per signature. Everything above that is travel, and travel is quoted before we get in the car. The number you hear on the phone is the number you pay.

Travel figures are typical starting points, not a quote. Time of day, distance and how many signatures are involved all move the number, which is why we give you a total on the call rather than a rate card and a surprise.
Pricing questions
Why do you publish prices when most notaries do not?
Because "how much does a notary cost" is one of the first things everybody searches, and making people phone to find out is a way of avoiding the question. Florida caps the notarial act at $10 per signature. The travel fee is the only variable and there is no reason not to be plain about the range.
Is the travel fee per signature or per visit?
Per visit. If four people at the same address each need a document notarised, that is four $10 acts and one travel fee — not four travel fees. Grouping signers into one appointment is much cheaper.
What if the notarisation cannot go ahead?
You pay the travel fee only, because no notarial act was performed. We try hard to prevent that on the phone: most failures are an expired ID, a missing second witness or a document that no notary may lawfully certify, and all three are catchable before we drive.
Do you take card?
Yes — card, cash or transfer. Business and title company clients are invoiced rather than paying at the table.
Is a cheaper notary available?
Often, yes, and we will tell you where. If you bank locally, your branch may notarise free for account holders during business hours. Some Lee County libraries offer it cheaply. AAA does it free for members. Those are genuinely better options for a simple document if you can travel during the working day.
